distillation or fermentation man take your pick! there are so many ways to turn juice into alcohol
that’s how they make prison wine!
On the first readthrough I thought it was the struggles of becoming an adult but then I noticed “timeouts become detentions” and I realised it’s a sad teen thing.
Let’s push this through to later adulthood, where I live some of the time!
Raggers become after-work drinks
Alcohol becomes better alcohol
Weed… probably stays the same
Razor blades become lovely kitchenware
Slit wrists become.. I guess checking yourself into counselling/care? Although people still suicide. It’s rough.
Love becomes real (sorry teens)
2x(5+7)6=5x/78 becomes 5%pa
Detentions become prison sentences
Push-ups become… comfy bras? I dunno. Not my expertise.
Lingerie becomes footy pajamas again.
Sex becomes sleeping.
Cars become better cars. (and then caravans)
Society becomes slightly more manageable.
Everything becomes possible again!
Trust is fine.
Sluts become cougars?
We realise that our lives’ trajectories are unpredictable and our youth-self’s judgment of our current self doesn’t preclude happiness or fulfilment.
Goodbyes become reunions.
Broken hearts heal.
Some of these are more middle-aged predictions (I guess I’ll look to John for confirmation on some of these?) and some I haven’t personally experienced even as a teen… but overall I’ve actually really liked the growing up I’ve done so far and I’d recommend it to everyone.
Edit: x is of course 0 because those other values don’t work out to be anywhere near each other.
